Q. Can I edit / record visuals?

Pixplayer VJ is designed specifically for realtime performace of visuals, so it does not have any function of editing nor recording visuals.

Q. Can I play FLASH movies?

* This software cannot play FLASH movies(.swf format). If you use Macintosh, by transforming to Quick Time video format on FLASH you can create readable movie files.

Q. Can I play mpeg and avi format movies?

* This software basically can play Quick Time format movies only.
It is also possible to read in jpg still images.

Q. Can I use not only cinepak compressor but other forms of compressor?

* There are some Quick Time movies compressed by other than Cinepak compressor which can be used. However, those movies could possibly be too heavy for practical use in VJing, so their use is not basically supported.

Q. About a bug with MacOSX version

When you play Pixplayer Lite on MacOSX or higher with QuickTime 6.1x or 6.2x installed, you will find following symptoms.

* Although you click "menu" on the top left-hand side of the screen, you will not see any pull-down menu.

Because of this symptom, you cannot
- select the folders in which your visuals stocked
- select MP3/MIDI files
- select Audio CD
- select "close" from the menu

With a function which automatically reads visuals materials and closing by using short-cut function, you can use this software without any big problems for VJing.
However, there is no other way to enalbe you to select MP3/MIDI files with this symptom, you would need other digital music player to do so.
There is no problem with up to QuickTime 6.0.2 and QuickTime 6.3.

* As long as its use is limited to the person who purchased this software, it is not necessary to buy it with the same number of your PCs. You may install the software to each of your PC.
